Our livestock

Swiss livestock have more living space than anywhere else in Europe. Most of them also have a run in a protected winter garden or outside. They are voluntarily kept in accordance with the standards for particularly animal-friendly indoor breeding of animals.

Species-appropriate husbandry and care of nature are deeply rooted in our small-scale farming approach. The farms are of a manageable size. Here, the animals are kept better than in the industrial large-scale livestock farms that are widespread in other countries. 

Strict laws and regulations protect all Swiss livestock. The transport routes to the abattoir are also much shorter here than anywhere else. Furthermore, regular checks ensure compliance with the regulations regarding feed, animal health and animal protection.
